Career preparation:

This Australian acting school offers showreel courses to those who may not have the time to attend a formal course such as screen acting diploma but need a professional acting reel to start their career.

Degree: Screen acting diploma. Screenwise is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

Tuition Fee: About $ 600 for 6-weeks. Contact the school for specific pricing for different programs.

What you’ll need to apply:

Just contact the school to apply. Auditions are only required for the showreel courses.

Auditions for the showreel courses are held each year in October/November for the January intake and May/June for the July intake.

Audition Requirements are:

  1. Prepared Film/TV monologue 1 minute in length (Applicants’ choice).
  2. Prepared Film/TV scene (Screenwise choice).

There are no refunds on Audition Fees. Should the applicant be unsuccessful in obtaining a place in the Showreel Course, then their $55 audition fee is redeemable within 12 Months for one of the other Screenwise 6 week short courses which is more suitable for the applicant’s level.

The Actors Nest

The Actors Nest is run and owned by Logie winner Paul O’Brien (Home & Away / Underbelly). This Melbourne acting school is purely professional working actors teaching actors. This school offers acting classes for all age groups including children, adults and teenagers. The school also has an online actors portal that includes online tuition videos.

Career Preparation: This acting school teaches television and film acting. A large number of students are currently working within the industry and the school is often subject to the interest of producers and directors searching for actors.

Tuition Fee: $360 for a 9 week term.

Financial Aid: Weekly payment plans available.
