West Chester Studio for the Performing Arts

This acting school for kids and teens less than an hour from Philadelphia offers acting and Musical Theatre classes in 8 week 1 1/2 and 2 hour sessions. Primary acting technique used is Meisner, however, we also include exercises from other techniques.

Performance Opportunities: All classes culminate with a recital for family and friends at the end of each session.

Career Preparation: West Chester Studio for the Performing Arts helps students understand what is required of an actor if hired in a professional theater.

Tuition Fee: $150 for most classes.

Wonderful adult acting class

I recently took an adult class with Therese, and loved it! The students in her class were able to leave better actors than when they started. Over too soon!

My daughter loves this school!

I have a 9 year old who is dramatic at home but shy anywhere else. She started last summer with West Chester Studio for the Performing Arts taking a summer theater camp. She loved the camp so much I signed her up for Creative Acting in the fall and then in the winter session she took Musical Theater for the Energetic at Heart. Both classes she really enjoyed, her confidence is growing by leaps and bounds, and she is learning so much about performing! I've signed my daughter up for their summer theater camps this up coming summer (16 kids to 2 adult professional actors is their ratio!). These camps will fill in no time! Great place for kids of all ages.

Who needs to go to Philly!

This acting school is the real thing, right in West Chester, no need to drive all the way to Philly. Professional teachers who know and understand the business. I have gained so much confidence and strength in myself that now I'm out in Philly auditioning, getting callbacks, and just booked a commercial! Thanks West Chester Studio for the Performing Arts!

Amazing Professional Class

I just finished the Teen Acting class at West Chester Studio for the Performing Arts. I wasn't expecting much because the studio is not in Philly, but that class was great! The instructor, Therese, has worked and taught in LA and NYC as well as major regional theaters. You leave the class with confidence and having a clear idea of what to expect when you are hired by a union theater. Can't wait to try her Musical Theater Technique class.
